-It's that time to get my haircut. And I want to shoot for the link above. But what type of products do I use to have my hair look like that?

Meaning, how do I spike up my hair in that fashion, without letting it look stiff, via gel.

One more thing. Try to recommend a normal product, that I can easily find at my local stores.

pomade is amazing. There a a whole bunch of brands, I personally like to use the brand "bed head" It may take a few times to get it to work right (without being super greasy or not sticking) But I had about 1 in. long hair in the back and i would use pomade every day to stick it all straight up in the back.

try using bed head or garnier's hair wax, they hold pretty well and it won't feel hard/stiff. you can find them at your local drugstore for a good deal

jelly or paste, try not to use alot and do it when your hair is dry, the highlights need to be done by a stylist prolly cost around 35-55 dollars, the highlights need be done by a stylist or salon. you can ask them to style it for you so you can learn how to do it, try working on it at home too, you'll figure it out. Remember how much time you spend on getting ready too, if your a quicky then this might not be your style, it takes time to perfect this, you can just shower and go in ten min...good luck

Bring your pictures with you to your appt. That way you will know that you %26amp; the stylist are on the same page! I would recommend using a volume product like Redken Body Full. Blow dry hair in the direction you want the hair to style %26amp; finish with a paste(they are easier to use %26amp; not as heavy %26amp; greasy as pomades) I would recommend Redken rough paste! Spend the extra few dollars %26amp; get good products so you have a good hair day everyday! You'll be glad you did! Most salons will also gurantee their products so if you are unhappy with what you bought you can take it back %26amp; try something else until you find one that works for you!
