What can I do with my hair!?

I have a lot of hair and its naturly curly. The length is about 5 inches past my shoulders. I put gel in the morning and around lunch time my hair is all dty and puffy! I hate it now. It happends every day. How can I leave my hair down but keep it throughout the day without it getting puffy?

finnaly something i can answer.. ok this usulally works best after a shower... do urs in the morning so u dont ahve to sleep on ur curly hair. after ur wash or simpaly wet ur hair, splash it with very cold water in the shower (if u dont want a cold scalp do it upside down) then comb ur wet hair so their is no knots. (try combing upsideown too itl give it volume). then when its at the dryness that u like put a good brand of styling gel in to it BUT FIRST smother some gel in ur hand.... then into ur hair if their still gel sticking to ur hand. put water on ur hand then use it on ur hair again. then after u put the gell in try putting hairspray in it (not to much or itll look crispy) then let it dry and BAM ur amazing! if u want also try straightening ur bangs or the fronts of ur hair to make it look nice hope i helped!
