Healthy to scrunch hair?

Ok, I have long blonde color treated hair...I am trying not to use a blowdryer or heat appliances on it often, because my hair is very fine, and it will break. I have started scrunching it recently, but i've noticed that its making my hair dried out? I have been using herbal essences mousse and gel, and also have tried Garnier Fructis. Both make my hair tangly, and dry?!? I can't figure this out, and more of my hair falls out I've noticed when I use these products. Is scrunching your hair healthy for it..and if so what kinda product can I use that will not dry my hair out...i want to try a professional product...not too intrested in wal mart products! Please help! Thank you :-)

I have the same type of hair you do and I use Pantene Pro V curl defining mouse... I've used professional products, and honestly, I can't tell a dramatic improvement. But I also use a deep treating conditioner for color treated hair. It helps a lot. My hair appears to fall out more and I asked my hair stylist and she said it was because the mouse makes your hair stick together so it doesn't fall out throughout the day like it would if it was straight.

If your hair is color treated, one of the problems could be that you're not using a shampoo specifically for color treated hair...better yet, one for your color. John Frieda has some good ones...I use the shampoo and condition for red and my husband uses the S %26amp; C for brunette. They both help the hair color stay nice as well as balancing the ph of your hair, which could be one reason your hair is feeling dry. Matrix also has a good color treated product line.

I had the same problem...make sure u are using enough conditioner and when u scrunch ur hair do u put a anti-frizz cream in it? i know it if for frizz, but frizz is a type of dry hair...

I use tresemme anti-frizz secret...you put it in your hair after you brush you hair then add it then scrunch like normal
