You cannot go bald from wearing hats or using hair gel. Unless that hair gel has alot of alcohol (as the first or second ingredient), then your hair will snap off like fall leaves in a wind storm.

Lastly, braiding hair too tight can cause balding, but so can stress.

No, just using hair gel and wearing hats can not 'cause you to go bald' ... only your 'genetic makeup' can do that ... but using hair gel and wearing hats all the time can certainly help 'aggravate' the balding so that it happens a bit faster.
