Egg white -- seriously I am not joking. I am a chef and when we were in training for it we were not allowed long, open and greasy hair. So this is what we used to use. You might think it'll smell like hell but no if you carefully take the yolk or yellow part of egg out (make an omelette and have it) and beat the rest of the egg white very nicely and use it, its completely odourless. Its cheap, gives mirror shine to hair and a fantastic tonic for your hair at the same time, because most of the hair gels which are quite srtong chemicals which might cause you a hair loss.

just use a very very small ammount of any hair product..then your hair won't look greasy.
