ive been trying to put my hair back but it keeps spiking up when i put gel and my do rag can anyone help me with this

You have to train your hair, as silly as it sounds. Use wax, it'll do better than gel.

Try using a smoothing cream. That usually works great. A little in your hands and rub it together. Then start away from the roots and down.
