got2be glossy is some great anti-frizz which leaves hair soo soft. Gel..I'd say use cream like Marc Anthony curling cream...produces softer curls

You can always use a flat iron or a curling iron to straighten your hair. This way you have less breakage because of product build up in your hair. You can also use a leave in conditioner to help with softness. As far as the gel?? I wouldn't use gel, use a light product that don't weight down your hair. Just about any salon will have something that is good. Good luck!
