Hair straightening?

i have tried and tried again to straighten my hair tomorrow is picture day and i need it straight.i can get it straight but it wont stay and i need a quick solution i cant go out and buy anything really and i have hairspray and mousse and gel and stuff like that but not alot of hair supplies

Hair straightening?

put your hair into pigtails and sleep without turning or tossing too much and when you wake up, straighten it again if you have to/want to. :D pigtails work better than ponytails!

Hair straightening?

just use a flat iron, and some hairspray, and before your pictures, smooth it out.

I have really curly hair, and this usually works for me.

Hair straightening?

Well, unless you have a straightener (a flat-iron) or you're really good at using a blow-dryer... you're stuck. Sorry!

Hair straightening?

well, just spray your hair with hairspray and pray for the best

Hair straightening?

straighten it and put it in a low loose ponytail..

in the morning take it out and brush it..

if there is a small cress just go over it with the straightner..

Hair straightening?

Make sure a straightener goes up to at least 350 decrees! Go to Marshall's, they have good quality ones for like 20$. Don't ever buy the commercial ones. If all else fails curl your hair, there's always an obstacle.

Hair straightening?

make the straighter really hot %26amp; go really slow on the section ur doing %26amp; if u have to do it over again i would get up a bit earlier so u have enuf time

Hair straightening?

well, you may want to try blow-drying it first, then straighting it, nice and slowly. Add some hairspray. And try to use a comb, brushes usually make it more frizzy. Good luck!

Hair straightening?

well you can try straightening your hair then use some mousse and hairspray to let it stay all day

Good luck!

Hair straightening?

put mousse and gel in ur hair when it is damp and get your brushand blow dry and brush ur hair while u r drying it and then straighten ur hair and go extra slow when ur done straightening it fip u hair over and hair spray ur hair and when u *** bak up brush it out and go bak over it with the straightner 1 more time

Hair straightening?

Liz, i have the same problem with my hair and unfortunately there isn't really much you can do to keep your hair straight because putting products in it just makes your hair look greasy. One of the main factors of hair going frizzy, wavy and curly after straightening is humidity in the air. So i Will keep my fingers crossed for you that it doesn't rain tomorrow.

Hair straightening?

Blow dry it straight!

Hair straightening?

flat iron, definetly. but dont just go over your hair with it you have to keep it on each strand of hair for a while(like 2 to 5 min.) itll burn your hair but its worth it i guess.

Hair straightening?

Hey =]

Don't use any product that are OIL BASED, befooore you straighten or you will fry said hair and that's not good. =] The mousse may work, but check the label in case. I believe I have had to use it before. I usually use a bit of product for each section I straighten..because if you just put it all through your hair, it will dry and make the rest sort of..cripsy before you get the chance to work with it, while it's pliable.

Now, work in little sections, going slower, putting a little on each time..that's important..very. slow and steady, ok. Little sections..

Using bigger clumps of hair and rushing through where it looks good now, will backfire later..won't truly straighten it, and it's true colors will show..or true wavy-ness..

Don't put anything too too wet on afterward, or it will be like adding water..and we ALL know what water does to straight hair. =]

And if that still doesn't work. Try the same product ideas, but use something else to straighten, like even a curling iron..if you use it like a straightener..it works pretty good..especially if your other's not doing the job. I had a straightener that couldn't beat my curling iron if they were put in the ring together.. Last but, not least..if the straightening over and over is making it flat? Flip your hair over, spritz a little hairspray, and keep your hair upside down until it dries [remember, not too much..to avoid the dirty, and the water fiasco, ok?] Then when it dries, flip your hair back over, repeat and blowdry upside down and it should work..

If this doesn't help..knock randomly on neighbors doors..there's a girl somewhere who will help..this is picture day!!! lol

Hope this helps.

Oh yea, and bring the curling iron with you in case of disaster at the last second!

Show us the picture =]

Hair straightening?

When you are styling your hair straight, make sure you apply products designed for smoothing/straightening your hair. Also, use small sections to blow dry your hair straight. Start with the underneath layers first (the back) and work your way forward. Afterwards, take another section of your hair, work in small sections and work your way forward. Afterwards, use a flat iron to smooth the hair again use small sections.

Hair straightening?

try using maximum hold hairspray it should work.

Hair straightening?

Go to http://www.beautymonials.com - they have great hair, makeup %26amp; beauty tips for both guys %26amp; girls!

Hair straightening?

i always blow dry my hair before straightening it and it always comes nice. so maybe try taking a shower in the morning right before school starts, blow dry your hair and then straighten it. just bring a brush and some hair spray and touch up right before you go to take your picture.

Hair straightening?

ok,

what you need to do i wash your hair really well and make sure you wash out all of your conditioner well cause that will serousely curl your hair more.

When your hair is almost dry (a way to tell is if it feels cold but you have no wet resadue on your hand) begin to straighten

Now i dont know what your hair type is but pull all the top layers up and clip/tie up,get little amounts and slowly straighten it,"take time"!.

As you are doing this gentaly curl the hair your are straightening under just so it dosen't get a feather effect.

Do this with each layer remebering to only get small amounts.

Once all straightend at about 20cm lightly spray your hair with the hair spray and smooth down.

when you go to bed loosly tie it in a ponytail, but so it wont come out.

get up early and straighten out any kinks or creases, and finaly apply a little more hair spray. (its always best to use small amounts and than work up so you dont destroy it)

if it starts to become un-straightend during the day apply more hairsprayand smooth down.

good luck and remember wash out conditioner thourouly (they dont say it on the bottle for nothing) and only get small amounts of hair at a time, too much will only clog the plates.

and what ever you do dont put moose on it, no matter what happens. "AND AVOID WATER AT ALL COSTS"!!!!!! WATER AND STRAIGHTENING DO NOT MIX
