Curly hair hell?

i have curly curly hair. can anybody tell me wat would be good gel or conditioner to put in it? i also herd that pure oil (cooking) softens the hair and helps it shine is that true?

my hair is heaps curly too, i share the pain!! the best product i found is kerastase hair serum, applied to damp hair. olive oil is heaps good, so is coconut oil and sorbolene cream works wonders. the other thing that i do is, not fully wash out my conditioner, coz its adds a bit of weight. and i have a tendacy to only wash my hair once a week, coz the natural oils also add weight. never brush or comb your hair when is dry, and always braid it before you go to bed, and use a satin pillow! hope this helps!!

I'm part African American so my hair is super curly. Olive oil works wonders. You should heat it and put it in your hair, leave it on for a while with a damp towel wrapped around it, and then wash it out.

Also, honey and milk shampoos and conditioners work really well to make the hair soft.

no oil,just makes it greasy.buy yourself a real good chi iron.they are wonderful on curley hair.some bio silk for after your shampoo just before you straighten your hair with the chi iron.makes hair soft shiny and very straight.

I was born with straight hair, but as I hit puberty it went curly. I have found that the best products to use depends on what kind of curls you have, and what type of look you want. I have anything from big waves to pencil size curls. The best type of product to use for any curly hair is to start with a anti-frizz serum while your hair is wet. If you want a natural soft curl, use a leave in conditioner that contains a humidity resistant ingredient. Such as John Freida, Tresumme, or even Dove. Pantene has great products for curly hair also. If you want a "wet or crunchy" look to you your hair, or added stability that will last use mousse. I suggest Herbal Essences, or Sunsilk. Visit the Sunsilk website for additional hair tips. As for shine I highly recommend Pantene Ice Shine. My hair was very dull because of Highlighting it, and it is very porous. Now that I use that brand, I can definitely notice the shine!
