ok.. I have Herbal Essences Set Me Up Mousse and Herbal Essences Set Me up Gel... with these two products how can i scrunch my hair ..step by step instuctions please....i have long, thick hair

After you wash your hair, squeeze out the excess water and lightly towel dry, then apply the mousse around zone one (base) then apply the gel through the rest all the way to the ends, but don't apply too much or it will be stiff. Then flip you head over (at least what I do) then squeeze your hair from the ends lifting it to the base repeatedly while using a diffuser on your blow dryer. Do so until your hair is almost dry, then flip your head back over so you can sculpture it the way you want it.

when i scrunch my hair i use v05 vivacious curling mousse - or something like that and it works really good

spray the mousse in your hands and scrunch your hair with it.
pull your hair up in a loose, wispy bun on the top of your head.
in 15-30 minutes, you can take it down. it should be somewhat wavy. use your gel and scrunch it. get out your hairdryer and put the attachment on (the de-humidifier) and scrunch your hair while drying it until it's almost completely dry. add extra gel as needed.
it will look best if you can pull it up in another loose, wispy bun and sleep on it overnight. if you can't, pull it up in the bun for as long as you can. you can style it when you're ready.
i have long, thick hair like you, and i used to do this for when i'd perform in parades, football games, etc. it always worked for me. good luck!

Use the gel first, on damp hair. Put a quarter sized amount in your hand, rub hands together, and apply to hair. Don't put any on your roots.
Next, shake up the mousse and dispense a golf-ball sized amount into your hands. Repeat procedure as described for gel.
This is the scrunching part:
Take your hair in handfulls and cup loosely up to your head. Do this a couple times for each section, and repeat until you've done it for all your hair. Let it air dry after this, but scrunch occasionally.

Also, I wonder how you would feel about simply putting the gel and mousse in your hair and letting it air dry without scrunching. I got nice, defined waves that way, but everyone's hair is different.

4. I then tip my head over and scrunch my hair with my hands while blow drying with diffuser.
