How can I curl m y hair?

My hair was really long amd thick so and I could not curl it so I got it cut and layered but now I can not curl it!!!

I have a curling iron and it works on my sisters hair but not mine. It sucks. I have tried hairspray and gel but it does not work. My curling iron was not exactly cheap and I only got it a month ago. I really need help. I can straighting my hair and all and it works perfectly. Its impossible!!!

I dont have thick hair, buti have straight hair and it doesnt hold curls well. I have tried to curl my hair once for a wedding and i actually didnt wash my hair that morning. If i have any sort of shampoo/conditioner or product the hair wont keep the curl. You kinda have to wash your hair the night before and maybe that will work.

I know there are some sprays you can use before you heat style that may keep the curl. If not, i would try rollers. I am contemplating trying that b/c my hair just wont curl.

I am guessing the curlers would be in your head longer than a curling iron, im hoping at least lol , and that might help to keep the curl. Also, before taking the rollers out spritz with a little bit of hair spray, then once you take the rollers out spritz again. Good Luck!

You can spray your hair as you curl it with hairspray, or spray gel. Kinda damaging though.

hi, i had straight hair all my life,now after radiation it is half curly and half straight . what i find very useful is hot rollers. and if you don't have any you can always find a set at most thrift stores. if you are worried about them being sanitary just place in boiling water before use. make sure they are hot then after you put them in your hair, use hair spray, let cool then remove and spray again. i like to just mess it up a bit with my fingers then i have a tousled look.

you can try soft curlers cause my hair wont stay curly also ...after you tak a shower but on soft curlers on your head then in the morning tak them out run your fingers throught them and WA LA instant curly you can also put some gel in the palms of your hands and scrunch your curly hair
