Childs Hair Help?

My son is 3/4 South American and Spaniard and 1/4 African American. His hair well it閳ユ獨 kind of hard to describe. He has Big Curls but allot of hair like all black people have. It閳ユ獨 really soft as well and he wants to grow it out and put corn rows in really bad. He is only 8 years old but he fights with me when I have to shave his hair short. Matter of fact he is sitting here watching me ask this hoping for some help more so on his side...lol

We have tried Mousse, Gel (all kinds), and anti-frizz serum. Nothing works for his hair what so ever to keep it looking good and not like he just got out of bed. I am a White women that has course tight curls with little frizz (I got lucky with little frizz). What are some products I can buy to help my son grow his hair out but not let him look so goofy with bed head. We have talked to his grandma (a black women) and she never had a problem like this with my son閳ユ獨 dad. Oh my son says he doesn閳ユ獩 want a greasy head either. Any help is great

Childs Hair Help?

veeery close to my hair only im black and white. dont use gel or mousse. that doesnt work at all! Just let him get the cornrows. Have the people wash it and get it DEEP conditioned. Then let them do their cornrows. Ask them for suggestions on how to keep it nice. But I would say buy a light braid spray and spray it on every morning. The cornrows will hurt the first day, but braid sprays cools the burn. Dont let him itch it the first day!!! It wont help. Just tell him to tap his head where it itches. The cornrows will look nice and keep his hair nice and neat. Have him sleep w/ a silk do rag at night to keep the frizzies away. And last tip, dont wash his hair more than every 1 1/2 weeks while the cornrows are in or they will unravel. not cool lol.

hope i helped!!

Childs Hair Help?

maybe getting his hair relaxed

letting it grow and get cronrows will keep the fizz down a lot and keeping it looking neat with, it may be wirth a try, it amy work it may not. got to a stylist that does only african americans hair even if it is just gioing in for a consult, they can give you two ideas. if his hair type is a mixture then corn rows may not work......

no harm in trying, no harm in letting him have his hair the way he wants....in a few years he'll be able to do what e wants with it (when he can get to some one who does hair or do it himself, and pay)

maybe go with dreds
