I have really thin hair..it's a little longer than shouldars...should I get layers or something

I want to make my hair have more body....my hair is naturally wavy and I scrunch it sometimes with curl gel but it just gets limp and lifeless throughout the day...other days I wear it straight...either way it's DEAD. I've heard I should get layers to make it have more body...???

I have really thin hair..it's a little longer than shouldars...should I get layers or something ???

This sounds pretty much like my hair. Getting layers does help. Also be careful which styling products you use, since some can just weigh down your hair or make it look oily.

I have really thin hair..it's a little longer than shouldars...should I get layers or something ???

yes, get a bunch of layers and use volumizing products, blow dry hair upside down

I have really thin hair..it's a little longer than shouldars...should I get layers or something ???

This may sound strange but it worked for one of my daughters. She would have braids put into her hair while the hair is damp. Then after a few days take it out and it is very full and bouncy. It's very versitile too. She'd have the braids pulled into a ponytail, either in the back or off to the side. She'd let some on the side and then tie some up in the back...sorta reminded me of an egyptian style. But once she took out the braids, her hair was wavy and thick, bouncy and all for a few days after.

Her hair was indian straight, got that from my grandfather on my dad's side. LOL So maybe you won't need it in too long.

Now if you "want" a shorter style, layers are very much the way to make thin hair "appear" thicker and a very soft perm would give you more volume.

I have really thin hair..it's a little longer than shouldars...should I get layers or something ???

Everyones hair is actually dead, but if you get layers in the right spot and length, it will more add texture to your hair but it will give the illusion of more volume. There are some shampoos out there that help add volume. Also, try back combing towards the top and then lightly comb the top layer of hair, if done right, adds volume, and it can be as much as you want.

I have really thin hair..it's a little longer than shouldars...should I get layers or something ???

well so do i and i have some layering and i want to get more because if you do get layers, your wavy hair will be more defined and i wasn't sure at first when i got it cut but now i want to get more so i would say go and get your hair layered because we have the exact same hair! if you are having problems with your hair and how to get more body when you style it, use a diffuser(its the attachment for the blowdryer that really big thing that you don't know what to do with) but that just makes my hair really poofy or sleep on it wet if you take a shower before you go to bed and your hair will stay wavy, trust me because i have to put it up everyday because i don't like it on my shoulders.

I have really thin hair..it's a little longer than shouldars...should I get layers or something ???

layers look really good but the way i like layers is layered in front and straight from the back. Another really good is straight form the top of your head and curly on the bottom, but the best in my opinion is layers . but you should do different hair styles, you can put part of your hair out and the rest in a pony tail, or use those really cute head-bands that look like pony tails, those look really good in your hair and it gives it a different and lifeful touch

I have really thin hair..it's a little longer than shouldars...should I get layers or something ???

DEFINETLY. That's exactly like my hair, but i got layers and it looks great!

I have really thin hair..it's a little longer than shouldars...should I get layers or something ???

Well getting layers gives the effect of having thick hair.Or you can buy volumizing spray

Poofy hair? (I'll vote best answer)?

Ok,so last year (2007) my hair was silky, smooth, and not poofy. But then I was tired of my same straight hair so I used this product (it was made to make your hair crimped) so I crimped my whole hair. Then monthes later my hair started getting really dry and poofy. So now everytime I get out of the shower and my hair gets dry it gets very poofy and sticks up alot.In the mornings when I finish brushing my hair it gets poofy.Nothing will work to keep it down (No not water it will get dry and eventually poof up %26amp; no not gel I do not like the flaky stuff.) Is there anyway to get my hair settled and silky smooth like it use to be?

Please help sorry it's long!

Poofy hair? (I'll vote best answer)?

DO NOT Brush your hair when it is wet.. Causes breakage and poof. Dont brush your hair at all until it is better, Use a Pic or comb. Try leave in conditioner after you shower. Use cold water on your hair when you wash it... Or at least not hot. Use shampoo every second day to allow oils in your hair to build a little in hopes your hair will self repair, rather then washing out the oils b4 they have a chance. As well you can buy intense repair treatments for shoppers or walmart (hot oil).

Good luck, It may take a while have patience.

Poofy hair? (I'll vote best answer)?

Get sunsilk hairapy 24/7 creme.

Poofy hair? (I'll vote best answer)?

Go to the salon and have it straightened.

Poofy hair? (I'll vote best answer)?

Leave conditioner in, try some of the John frieda no frizz stuff.

Poofy hair? (I'll vote best answer)?

So the product was permanent???

Maybe you could go to a hair salon and have them use one of those really strong shampoos for like chlorine-damaged hair. That might help...

Poofy hair? (I'll vote best answer)?

Try taking a straightening iron and pulling all the hair together and straight down, see if that helps. If not, maybe go get your hair trimmed, and ask the hairdresser whjat to do, they usually know what to do about these things.

Poofy hair? (I'll vote best answer)?

Try a good leave-in conditioning treatment. Nexxus make a good spray on conditioner or Infusium leave in treatment is good too. They will provide added moisture to ease the "poofy-ness" without adding weight or excess oils to your hair.

Poofy hair? (I'll vote best answer)?

Try Garnier Sleek %26amp; Shine hair serum, its a liquid-type this and its in a sphere shaped bottle. Also use a hydrating shampoo (Herbal Essences Hello Hydration or similar) also stop using that product and eventually it will probably go back to being normal

Poofy hair? (I'll vote best answer)?

Use conditioner! I recommend Garnier Nutrisse

Poofy hair? (I'll vote best answer)?

Use Sunsilk and if you take really warm showers then try to take a little colder showers and that will help.

Poofy hair? (I'll vote best answer)?

i have the same poodle hair problem i use bumble and bumble

Poofy hair? (I'll vote best answer)?

Maybe you should stop using that shampoo and conditioner or whatever...

Poofy hair? (I'll vote best answer)?

Try a deep conditioner and also try using Garnier Fructis "Moisture Works!" shampoo and conditioner!

If your really trying to solve the problem and willing to spend money you could possibly get a Japanese straightening or a procedure like that and your hair will be smooth and straight all the time and you won't have to worry about it. Or you could go to a salon and have them wash and condition and cut the dry ends off and also blow it out or straighten it and they also would have a lot of products and such to help since they are the professionals.

Good luck!

Poofy hair? (I'll vote best answer)?

ok what you need to do, is go to a hair salon and tell them to wash your hair and condition it, then trim about 1 ,2, or 3 inches off.

then go to a store and buy new conditioner, and shampoo.

get hair serum too.

this should work!

my hair is actually naturally poofy.

Poofy hair? (I'll vote best answer)?

Hey_x

The best thing to do is to go to the hair dressers and have them do it for you. They will recomend a shampoo that will work best with your hair. I use to have the same problem... After the hair dressers (like a few weeks later) if your hair gets poofy again, just go back ! Thats what you should do anyway even if your hair doesn't get poofy !! Hope I helped %26amp; Good luck__xxo

Poofy hair? (I'll vote best answer)?

well first of all go around in the shops and search for shampoos and conditioner! make sure you wash your hair preperly ( you put shampoo in your hair and stroke your fingers through every part and rub hard on the scalp or top of your head then rinse...conditioner..if you have thin hair only use conditioner at the top of your hair like not under your hair and rinse) then brush your hair while its wet but dont blow dry it! just leave it to dry but brush it often so it wont get messy. And if its still poofy what ever you do DONT use a hair straightener because it take all the moister out of your hair and leaves it dry. dont use hair gell either because it wont help. brush your hair wuite often and start at the top of your head and brush downwards although dont brush all your hair backwards but just simply straight down. If that dont help you should go to a hair salon or something! hope t was enouigh help! remember no hair straighteners or blow dryers(unless u need to dry you hair quick when you blow dry your hair DONT do it upside down and use a brush and brush downwards while the hair dryer dries it on the way down too but try and not use one as much as you can) well best of lucks!! %26lt;3 =]

Poofy hair? (I'll vote best answer)?

Us a conditioner that has coconut oil in it like Pro-line conditioner you can get it at Walgreens for $3.00

Pre-wash with it and you can use it for your skin to. Don't get to carried away. lol

What gel should i use to scrunch my hair with?

i have hair a little past my shoulders. it is naturally curly. i either straighten it our wear it up. i want to start scrunching again but i cant find a good brand. I usually use Herbal Essences set me up max hold gel. since i have layers, it eventually gets "poofey" so i have to put it up. so what brand do you reccommend?

What gel should i use to scrunch my hair with?

Try Bounce Back by KMS Curl-Up. It's a salon-only brand, but beauty supply stores carry it, and with it I can coax curls out of my heavy, wavy hair like nobody's business!

What gel should i use to scrunch my hair with?

WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!! Our planet is dying, there are wars happening and innocent people suffering everywhere right now and your worried bout hich gel to use?

Get a grip sweety. Im saying this for your own good.

NAMASTE

What gel should i use to scrunch my hair with?

When ever i scrunch my hair i always use dove gel or garne fruitis mouse its helpes A LOT!

What gel should i use to scrunch my hair with?

try using hairspray and scrunching it...

What gel should i use to scrunch my hair with?

Actually, you do not need a comercial gel at all. Go to the fridge and get the following: Crisco, maple syrup, a flat Coke (not Pepsi, it lacks red dye number 5), a 40 of Colt 45. Take 3 teaspoons of Crisco and mix with 1 tsp of the maple syrup. Next, take the flat coke (you will need a dauber) and add 3 drops to the mix. Shotgun the Colt 45 and then eat the potion. In the morning your hair will be gone and your gel dilema will be no more.

What gel should i use to scrunch my hair with?

...Jen...

I use Garnier Fructise "wet looks" gel, it leaves the hair looking wet all day, thus also laying like it does when it's wet, and I also use mousse which I think any one will do...

Herbal essences set me up gel?

I bought this stuff tonite, and i am going to use it scrunch my hair. Any other cute ideas that would work with this type of gel??

Herbal essences set me up gel?

for that gel

dont use to much because it will FLAKE!

Healthy hair?

What's considered healthy hair? I mean like I just want to know 'cause it's been a year since my hair used to be really short and I'd spike it with gel and since it's been a year it's the length to my chin, but it's not all even yet. Since it feels like it's been a while since my hair has been long I was wondering if it was healthy?

Healthy hair?

Healthy hair can be natural or chemically treated. Do you use professional products? If not you could have a build up on your hair. Do you use a deep conditioner? Do you have curly hair, it is naturally more dry. Do over process your hair (colours/perms), if yes it could be more dry. I am a hair stylist and it would be hard to say without seeing/touching your hair, I suggest you go to a hair salon and ask what they think and recommend! If you stretch a hair shaft (while wet) and it is able to stretch about 50% AND return to normal, your hair is in good shape.

Healthy hair?

hair doesnt grow evenly. you need to get it trimmed every 4-6 weeks to get rid of the split ends. also use professional products.they wont leave a build up on your hair like over the counter shampoos and conditioners.

Healthy hair?

As long as you use gels from a salon that a stylist recommends and are water soluble you're OK on that front.

A good gage on hair health is, without any product in your hair, does your hair shine? If it shines - its pretty healthy.

Also, you can check your 'tinsel strength'. That means to take one strand of hair between both pointer fingers and thumb and pull it just a little. See if it stretches. If it stretches a little - its healthy.

Truly, as long as you keep your hair clean and use the right products that don't clog the hair follicle...you're fine - gels and all.

Healthy hair?

I think I would be the perfect person to answer this question. I have really really really long hair. It is naturally dirty blonde and goes down to my tail bone. I just cut 8 inches of it off two weeks ago. :) Any way, what is healthy hair? Healthy hair is hair that has not been touched with any hair color treatments, or perms, it has no split ends, and is not dry. But, what you could do and should do is go get it styled so it doesn't look shaggy. Trimming it a lot helps to prevent split ends. Also, if you do color it, be sure to use a deep conditioner. The deep conditioner also helps dry hair. But, short hair doesn't mean its not healthy. It would have to be looked at. If you really really want to know, go into a salon and ask them. They should be able to tell you. But make sure you use gentle shampoos and conditioners. I use and have been using Herbal Essence shampoo the old Rose Hip one, for the past 9 years! I live by it! It is gentle to my hair and cleans it really well, and for conditioners I use Pantene Pro V for smooth and sleek hair.

Any way, this has been one of my favorite questions! :) I love my hair! lol I started off with really short hair, it was traumatic. I wish I could have enjoyed it like you and spiked it, but, I was soo upset. The woman that cut my hair went nutty and must have had some therapy on my hair. Don't let a woman going through a divorce touch your hair!! lol...

:)

Take care.

Hope this helped.

Healthy hair?

HeLLo...

...length doesn't necessarily mean healthy...if your hair isn't shedding outside of what it's normally supposed to shed and it is shiny and strong and the ends aren't all split up then that is healthy hair...I see women all the time with longer hair but they need a good 2 inches removed due to damaged and split ends...

I have a very dry and semi-curly hair ( too wavy). In the morning?

I have to use a hair dryer to make it a little bit straight and then i use wet gel over it but I get these flying ugly looking hair everywhere.. How to manage the frizzy hair?

I have a very dry and semi-curly hair ( too wavy). In the morning?

You can buy the roller dryer, it is like a roller hair curler with brush, you brush your hair while drying it...they are selling it in informercial, I think you can get it from Watsons, it works well.

I have a very dry and semi-curly hair ( too wavy). In the morning?

I have frizzy hair %26amp; I manage it by either straightening it in the morning or simply just pulling it back into a ponytail.

How can I curl m y hair?

My hair was really long amd thick so and I could not curl it so I got it cut and layered but now I can not curl it!!!

I have a curling iron and it works on my sisters hair but not mine. It sucks. I have tried hairspray and gel but it does not work. My curling iron was not exactly cheap and I only got it a month ago. I really need help. I can straighting my hair and all and it works perfectly. Its impossible!!!

Please help

How can I curl m y hair?

I dont have thick hair, buti have straight hair and it doesnt hold curls well. I have tried to curl my hair once for a wedding and i actually didnt wash my hair that morning. If i have any sort of shampoo/conditioner or product the hair wont keep the curl. You kinda have to wash your hair the night before and maybe that will work.

I know there are some sprays you can use before you heat style that may keep the curl. If not, i would try rollers. I am contemplating trying that b/c my hair just wont curl.

I am guessing the curlers would be in your head longer than a curling iron, im hoping at least lol , and that might help to keep the curl. Also, before taking the rollers out spritz with a little bit of hair spray, then once you take the rollers out spritz again. Good Luck!

How can I curl m y hair?

try scrunching your hair and then brushing it out before you curl it

How can I curl m y hair?

crimp it or corn row it or twist it while its wet and let it dry like that or get it done

How can I curl m y hair?

well ask one of your sisters or your mom to do it i cant curl me hair either its the same way so i eather scrunch it with ALOT of hairspay and TONS of mousse or i just straighten it...

How can I curl m y hair?

Use a Flat iron that gets up to 450 Degrees.. (CERAMIC)

Watch this video to find out how to curl with a flat iron---

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAL66qAbK...

How can I curl m y hair?

You can spray your hair as you curl it with hairspray, or spray gel. Kinda damaging though.

How can I curl m y hair?

hi, i had straight hair all my life, now after radiation it is half curly and half straight . what i find very useful is hot rollers. and if you don't have any you can always find a set at most thrift stores. if you are worried about them being sanitary just place in boiling water before use. make sure they are hot then after you put them in your hair, use hair spray, let cool then remove and spray again. i like to just mess it up a bit with my fingers then i have a tousled look.

How can I curl m y hair?

you can try soft curlers cause my hair wont stay curly also ...after you tak a shower but on soft curlers on your head then in the morning tak them out run your fingers throught them and WA LA instant curly you can also put some gel in the palms of your hands and scrunch your curly hair

Hair!!! help!?

ok my hair isnt silky or lush or anything like that.its like sometmes '[tame' but otherwise it gets alll frizzled up in the heat. how can i get hair like how they are on like the pantene and loreal commercials?? or like is there any way to get my hair just like how sophia bush's hair wen its straight? is there any way to get it without and gel but rather using everyday stuff?

Hair!!! help!?

ok. shampoo commercials are such big liars. don't believe them. :) there's no way you can get that super straight hair.

the best you can do is after shampooing, don't forget to use a conditioner, then leave it for 1-2 minutes then rinse. it's my routine. then make sure to dry your hair (air dry, not blow dry). then brush it.. :)

Hair!!! help!?

hmm... to get hair like on commercials, might i suggest photoshop?

Hair!!! help!?

To get Lush and Shiny hair then use Ice shine shampoo, then use the ice shine conditioner. To keep it in place use lots of hairspray.

Hair!!! help!?

When I wanted my hair silky smooth in the summertime, I would use a combination shampoo/conditioner by Pantene. Then I would use either the deep conditioner by Pantene or just regular conditioner for damaged hair. Then, before blow-drying, I would spray on some Infusium 23 leave-in conditioner. I'd then dry my hair in sections, while standing up. It makes your hair smooth and silky. One reason the leave-in conditioner is so important is it keeps your hair from frizzing up once it is dry. During the summer, our hair is more prone to being dry and dull and the humidity outside makes the hair frizz out.

The sites below offer other ideas on how to keep your hair from frizzing out. By the way, I've tried frizz-ease and other "serums" to remove the frizz, but it takes a whole bottle for me, which makes it NOT cost effective. In fact, even using a whole bottle it doesn't work for me.

Hair!!! help!?

moisturize your hair. get a better conditioner, deep condition weekly, don't over wash, only wash your scalp and not your ends. try using olive oil to deep condition, put it on and leave it in over night then wash it out in the morning. this is what i do to my hair and it is down to my butt and very shiny and smooth, i hope this helps you. good luck.

Cream, gel, wax, mousse or serum is best for short hairstyle that閳ユ獨 frizz-free and non-greasy?

I閳ユ獡 a guy and I閳ユ獓 like my hair to be soft (frizz-free), straight and non-greasy. What do you recommend; cream, gel (or spray gel), wax, mousse or serum? What閳ユ獨 a good brand? Thanks!

Cream, gel, wax, mousse or serum is best for short hairstyle that閳ユ獨 frizz-free and non-greasy?

I'm not a guy, but I my hair style is short and I like to have a soft Spike look. I use "bedhead" which I apply after I have shampooed my hair. I don't use a blow dryer, but when my hair is about 1/2 dry, I apply about a quarter size blob that has been rubbed between my palms, and then applied to my hair thoroughly. Then i comb my hair to lay flat against my head. When my hair dries, I can either "mess" it up with my fingers, which creates the soft Spike look. I probably have more length to my hair than you do, so you'd probably not need as much goo.

Cream, gel, wax, mousse or serum is best for short hairstyle that閳ユ獨 frizz-free and non-greasy?

Super SKinny by Paul Mitchell!! I swear by it! :)

Cream, gel, wax, mousse or serum is best for short hairstyle that閳ユ獨 frizz-free and non-greasy?

well i think moose works but it will make your hair curly and wet looking

Cream, gel, wax, mousse or serum is best for short hairstyle that閳ユ獨 frizz-free and non-greasy?

well if it's pixie short use Sexy hair concepts "short sexy hair" if it's a chin length bob use paul mitchell sculpting foam

Cream, gel, wax, mousse or serum is best for short hairstyle that閳ユ獨 frizz-free and non-greasy?

super skinny is good, but it's for making your hair dry faster. that's what most serums are for. wax will make it piecey, and it kind of takes a long time to style. garnier fructis is a really good brand, and they have products that are soft hold, so it doesn't look greasy or anything. i think spray gel or cream is the way to go.

Cream, gel, wax, mousse or serum is best for short hairstyle that閳ユ獨 frizz-free and non-greasy?

VO5 texturizing gum!

its non - sticky, non - greasy and your hair stays frizz free! i cant live without it!

Hair style problem?

Hair style problem?

get a hot oil treatment instead

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

Like going outside in like really cold weather with your hair still wet from getting out of the shower with gel in it.

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

I've been told that it can't, and that viruses cause colds.

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

no

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

yes %26amp; pneomonia

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

No.

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

no, that is an old wive's tail...wet hair and cold winter does not give you a cold...however it does make you feel very cold which may lower your resistance and make you prone to all kinds of ailments...so, watch that

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

That's what my mom always told me. She said ear infections though.

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

Virus's cause colds, going out in cold weather with wet hair makes your body work harder to maintain homeostasis . . .thus it weakens your immune system making you more susceptible to getting a cold if you are around others with colds.

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

nope tha's all a myth. it was first started by a paren twho was very concerned about their child. you can only catch a cold from germs. make sure you wash your habd so you can prevent one!

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

You can catch pneumonia easily that way,i know two people who did it and had to be hospitalized

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

no

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

no, if that were true i'd be in sick since the age of 12.

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

Older people say you can, but I dont know because I thought the reason people caught colds were due to the viruse being in the air. I body, if not mistaking, have natural mechanisms to keep our temp intake. Thats why we sweat when its hot outside but our inside temp. remains the same. Ask a doc.

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

Yes it does. You can also tell a witch by dunking her in the lake until she confesses. Also, in case you were wondering, toad urine is a surefire wart remover. Without a doubt, cold weather spontaneously generates bacteria and viruses inside your body. Be very careful!!

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

Doctors say no. Viruses cause colds.

But I think there must be some connection, because everytime I get sweaty working, then chilled....I come down with a cold a day or two later. Maybe getting chilled like that lowers resistance to the viruses.....

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

No. Colds are caused by viruses and not the weather. With that said you could catch a chill (get physically cold) from being in the cold with wet hair. Being cold makes you more susceptible to catching one.

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

Dear Sexy Dude... unless someone sneezes or coughs in your face, nope. The cold will not cause you to catch a cold. However, if it's wet, your hair might freeze, so make sure you have it styled the way you want it!

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

The cold itself does not cause illness. It is the cold that effects your immunity, and akes you more vulnerable to illness. But generally a short time outdoors with wet hair is not going to harm you.

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

Colds are caused by a virus. You are more likely to get a cold virus from someone sneezing and not washing their hands and you touchng an object they touched.Good handwashing is one of the best preventions .

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

It gives you a headache but you cannot actually catch a cold from cold- its a common misconception. You might get a headache or get chills and cold because it is wet, afterall, and so you should be fine with wet, stylish hair in the cold- but then it might get stiff from too much cold and start to act frozen. Good luck

Does going out with wet hair in cold weather cause a cold?

YES.

But it is not the wet hair that is "causing" the cold.

The wet hair cools your body temperature, so that your body has to use energy to keep warm.

That energy would have otherwise been used to fight off viruses that are in the air.

Since the body now has to use some of its resources to keep warm, it becomes more susceptible to the virus in the air, because the Immune System is weakened.

So, yes, you are more likely to get a cold with wet hair in cold weather.

Who's good with hair styles???

I have shoulder lenght hair, in three VERY distinctent layers about an inch apart.

I want to make my hair look very messed up, kind of stringy, but withoug gelling it with three pounds of hair products.

In the end, I want it to look gungy-rock style.

I'm not sure how else to discribe it -_-'

Who's good with hair styles???

use a diffusor on a blow dryer with wet hair and a little bit of curls rock by bed head

Who's good with hair styles???

Generally, girls like Tina Turner, and some sages in the Himalayas!

Who's good with hair styles???

Go to bed, get up in the morning, fluff it out without brushing it, spray it and go!

Who's good with hair styles???

why do you want to look like you had a very bad night??

Who's good with hair styles???

wash you hair at night, let it dry about 75%, twit it and let it dry overnight.

Who's good with hair styles???

dont...blowdry or straighten as long as your not naturally curly and brush it messed up let it dry naturally in a soft scrunchy bun make sure it should end up messy and not curly abit wavy maybe..use some volumising sachets or curl defining stuff...you no you can find those 99p or 1.99 sachets of hairproducts there good and just enough for that once

Who's good with hair styles???

Ask you stylist to feather razor cut your layers to make them spiky and stringy, without affecting the lenght to the shoulders, that will give nice strings that are easy to handle with the right amount of "hair glue " or spray possible. You're hair will rock that way, but remember that longer than the shoulders it will be difficult to make it kind of spark and string for the clean messy look as the hair wieght and lenght will pull it down. Good luck. I hope you look awesome after feathering those layers!!!

What kind of hair gel will NOT flake when you comb through it?

My bf uses this stuff by Loreal called Grab. It's a real thick kinda tacky feeling gel and does not flake at all. It's hard to find sometimes but worth a try.

What kind of hair gel will NOT flake when you comb through it?

spend more than 2 bucks for it and you'll be fine

What kind of hair gel will NOT flake when you comb through it?

garnier Frutis Style

it works wonders!!! lol

What kind of hair gel will NOT flake when you comb through it?

hair gel has the tendency to dry your hair if used on a regular basis.

Try applying a good shampoo with a leave-in conditioner without any hair gel. It will start improving.

Swap gel for oil for a couple of days in order to restore hair natural oils.

What kind of hair gel will NOT flake when you comb through it?

why would you comb through it? try a relaxer like a curl setter or a straightening cream so it's not stiff. If your hair gel flakes it obviousley is the kind that hardens.

What kind of hair gel will NOT flake when you comb through it?

Most kinds won't flake unless you're using too much.

Product for stiff hair?

I'm a guy with somewhat stiff and dry hair. what's a hair product that i could use to make my hair less stiff and dry? i'm not looking for a gel or wax...thanks.

Product for stiff hair?

I use a great product, its biosilk. I don't remember what it is called, but Biosilk is the brand and it's a clear product. Try it, it only takes the size of a pea amount.

Product for stiff hair?

Try a leave in conditioner. Redken Anti snap is great or a cheaper product is the pink leave in by Sunsilk, but I cannot remember what it is called. You also may want to try a moisturizing shampoo and some deep conditioning. Also, its always good to put about a teaspoon of baking soda in your shampoo about once a month to help reduce build up.

FRIZZY HAIR is making me crazy!!!!?

O.k. so my hair is super frizzy and poofy. I have one type of gel thing that helps put down the friz a little, but not enough. Does anyone know any products that really eliminate friz without making your hair feel hardened?

FRIZZY HAIR is making me crazy!!!!?

There is a product by "I. S. O." called "Bouncy Cream" it light enough to allow the hair to curl but does not allow it to frizz.

"Bouncy Cream" does not dry hard like a gel or mousse. The hair is actually touchable and still fells like hair.

It does work I have natural curl myself and use the product every day.

Only available from a salon.

I suggest you call the shops in your area and find out who carries "I. S. O.".

I have been doing hair for thirty years and have not seen another product that works as well.

Hope this helps.

FRIZZY HAIR is making me crazy!!!!?

Go to the salon and straighten your hair. unless you poor and cant afford it

sell you computer Report It

FRIZZY HAIR is making me crazy!!!!?

Heres something that might work,

try getting yourself a bottle of

schwarzkopf got2b anti-frizz %26amp; shine serum

my friend has the same problem, and this is the stuff she uses

it seems to work, also it smells amazing.

It doesn't harden you're hair, im pretty sure of that.

and i think u can get it at any Zellars store.

FRIZZY HAIR is making me crazy!!!!?

I have super curly frizzy hair and the best stuff I"ve found is by Redken. It's called Smooth Down. If you use the shampoo, conditioner, and what they call "Heat Glide" it will really help tame your hair. (The Heat Glide is just like a serum, I put it on and let my hair dry naturally.)

I recently saw the shampoo %26amp; conditioner at CVS pharmacy for $9.99 each. TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!!

FRIZZY HAIR is making me crazy!!!!?

John Fieda Frizz Ease

FRIZZY HAIR is making me crazy!!!!?

I use Citre Shine Anti Frizz serum before I blow dry my hair and it stays really smooth all day and doesn't feel dried out, crispy, or hard like gel does. It's about $4 at the grocery store or Walmart so it's pretty cheap and it works for me! No harm in trying something along those lines!

FRIZZY HAIR is making me crazy!!!!?

i'm a hair stylist and i have found that if you use CHI silk infusion before you blow dry it helps tremendously you can also try biosilk silk therapy. you can also use it through out the day to keep down the frizz

FRIZZY HAIR is making me crazy!!!!?

Have you ever tried a flat iron? There are some that make your hair straight, soft and not frizzy and shiny. Or you could try Matrix Sleek Extreme balm.

What are the ingredients of garnier fructis hair gel wet shine and where do they come from?

What are the ingredients of garnier fructis hair gel wet shine and where do they come from?

Go to the store, and read the back of the label.

What are the ingredients of garnier fructis hair gel wet shine and where do they come from?

i don't know, but i suggest you stop using Garnier Frucits products. they have soo much alcohol in them, that it ruins your hair.

Hair Help ASAP!?

I have naturally blonde hair with natural highlights, i have not once touched my head of hair with a bottle of dye and have no intentions but it looks as dull and dry as someone that would have.

Its about 2 1/2'' past my shoulders and i'm going to keep growing it out, I know a hair cut probably would help it but that stylist look and shine is only temporary and will only be a set back in trying to grow it out.

I have a natural wave to my hair and the only way it really looks good is if i apply a ton of gel and "scrunch it" and let it air dry but even then i still get the frizz and the dullness and it gets annoying to have to deal with it wet, so i diffuse it partially. I shampoo every other day and conditioner everyday, sometimes i'll leave the conditioner in my dry hair and wait 10 minutes then rinse it out but nothing seems to work, i use Aussie "Mositure" and Herbal Essences Gel a combination of (Totally Twisted + Set Me Up)

Any suggestions for easy to maintain hairstyles?

Hair Help ASAP!?

here are some things you can try for your hair for once or twice a month treatmeant! They worked great for my hair =)

Tea and beer improve the look of the hair. Begin by boiling two servings of tea leaves either loose or by opening two tea bags and placing the contents in the pot. strain the leaves from the liquid and allow it to cool. apply to hair as a rinse after shampooing and gently comb the tea through the hair for a minute or two. rinse lightly and then style your hair as normal. Beer also gives the hair body and makes it more manageable. pour a bottle of beer over the hair working it with your fingers for a few minutes rinse well and style. you will notice that both the tea and the beer will give your hair a lot more shine bounce and body.

Also you could try 1/2 cup of honey with two tablespoons of olive oil. Mix well and massage into hair. Cover it with a shower cap for 30 mins. Shampoo and rinse well hair will be silky smooth and shiny.

other products you can use for when styling

for straight hair

Use John Frieda Frizz Ease straight Answer Straightening Spray - this goes on before you blow dry your hair and then go through your hair with a iron.

Also you can use Fructis Garnier Body %26amp;Volume rot lifting treatment spray - this one just you can put in to wet or dry hair. When I use it I use it in wet hair along with the John Frieda product.

To get a really nice shine use pure Hask Shine spray on Luminator - be really carefull with this one though if you use to much it can make your hair look greasy. I put this in with the John Frieda stuff as well and after I straighten my hair to give it more shine.

If you want curly hair that looks nice use Herbal essences totally twisted curl boosting mousse not the gel. Just run it through your hair and let air dry.

I have used all these products and if used properly you can have really amazing hair either straight or curly!

I suggest not using a gel....idk but I think gels are not that good for hair, try a mousse instead that might work better =)

Hair Help ASAP!?

I use an anti-frizz gel put it on when your hair is wet and i also use straighteners but thats not doing my hair any good but it keeps it looking good im doing the same just growing my hair!

Hope this Helps you

My man hates cologne, cool loafers and hair gel. i dont wanna change him, only better him. why the r

i mean, i love him and we're talking engagement, but i cant help harping on him. if we're still technically dating, why has the effort stopped? i look great when we go out [or try to] and yet he's in the same cowboy boots [especially on valentines night at a 4star restaurant, OMG] and slacks and shirt. give me a break. and wearing cologne doesn閳ユ獩 make you gay, if i like it and im your woman and its a turn-on, why is it such a fight for one little thing? am i threatening his masculinity or was he raised by aliens? do i let it go and marry him and try not to let this crap bug me for the next 60 years??!!!??

My man hates cologne, cool loafers and hair gel. i dont wanna change him, only better him. why the resistance?

BEASUSE YOU WITH EVER DAY YOU KNOW MANY MAN IS LIKE THIS.

My man hates cologne, cool loafers and hair gel. i dont wanna change him, only better him. why the resistance?

If you don't like the guy he already is then I wouldn't marry him. Trying to change him is only going to cause fights, and even if he does change, he will probably just eventually change back or resent you. I know the changes are small, but to him it probably seems more like a fight about control.

My man hates cologne, cool loafers and hair gel. i dont wanna change him, only better him. why the resistance?

If these petty things are bugging you now, it's time to quit. It will only get worse. You say the effort has "stopped" - has he ever worn cologne? There may be a reason he doesn't wear it - like it makes him itch, or he doesn't like the strong odor. Obviously, that is a personal quirk that he has.

As for the boots, they're obviously comfortable. He's not a loafer guy. Rather than getting aggravated over loafers, encourage him to buy a dress set of boots - they do come in dressy as well as mundane (I'm from Texas - we wear them everywhere around here, and some run over $500 a pair).

And hair gel? What's the big deal if he doesn't want spikes, or doesn't want the slick look.

All in all, he sounds like a relaxed type, and you sound like a real go-getting jet setter. Perhaps you need to revisit your priorities, or your lifestyles before you tie the knot.

P.S.: You said "such a fight for one little thing" - you've mentioned 3 here already. How many more "one little things" did you not even list? Think about it...

My man hates cologne, cool loafers and hair gel. i dont wanna change him, only better him. why the resistance?

why SHOULD he change??? and why do you think he should be BETTER??? if you wanted better, maybe you should have found someone better... instead of settling for a "do upper"...

My man hates cologne, cool loafers and hair gel. i dont wanna change him, only better him. why the resistance?

Better him !!!!!!

only he can better himself, because its what comes from the inside that really counts.

My man hates cologne, cool loafers and hair gel. i dont wanna change him, only better him. why the resistance?

He sounds to me like a real man whom most women would go for. Who wants to be seen with a spikey haired, loafer wearing wimp who smells like a prostitute`s office?

Can I check items such as aerosol hair spray and perfume as checked baggage?

I am packing for our family vacation and am unsure what can be taken on a plane.

I think that most items fall into two categories: pressurized aerosol style cans (i.e. hair spray, perfume, etc.) and the just plain liquid/cream gel type stuff (think sunscreen, contact lens solution, etc) .

Which of these type items can or can't be packed? I've read TSA's guidelines for carry-on luggage, but I'm talking about checked baggage.

Thanks!

Can I check items such as aerosol hair spray and perfume as checked baggage?

It's really best not to take aerosol containers considering they may explode for the pressure, but it is allowed. It's also a good idea to put all liquids including shampoo, etc. in a ziplock bag. Those explode to, but not as dramatically. = ]

Can I check items such as aerosol hair spray and perfume as checked baggage?

you can check all of your normal 'bathroom cabinet type products'

have a good trip

Can I check items such as aerosol hair spray and perfume as checked baggage?

the wepage below gives the TSA regs for carry-on AND checked luggage...so you can check it to see about the items you want to pack. have a reat vacation!

Can I check items such as aerosol hair spray and perfume as checked baggage?

You can pack pretty much whatever you want in your checked luggage, with the exception of explosives and hazardous material (such as flammable liquids and the like).

You could check 50 giant tubes of toothpaste if you wanted to. You can't get access to your checked luggage during the flight, but you can get to your carry-on, and I think that's why the checked luggage restrictions are so lax. Whenever I fly, I check pretty much everything, and I've never had a problem with my luggage.

What is the best hair gel for a person with curly hair?

I use fructis curling mousse it doesn't make your hair as stiff and it looks more natural.

What is the best hair gel for a person with curly hair?

What is the best hair gel for a person with curly hair?

well my hair is really curly, i always wear it losse.. just so it doesnt get puffed or anything, i use mousse. i avoid gel because i dont want my hair hard, just tamed from frizzies eveywhere.

i suggest treseme. it works good, and smells really good too lol, about $4.00 a bottle.

What is the best hair gel for a person with curly hair?

the best is orange sun silk cream

What is the best hair gel for a person with curly hair?

Is your hair thick or fine?

For thicker hair, I found that the Pantene curl gel works very well

gives a good hold without being sticky or hard

Use a silicone based serum on wet hair first. Paul Mitchell super skinny works good. This will help prevent frizzies to.

Once you apply gel manipulate your hair the least amount possible or you will get frizzies too.

What is the best hair gel for a person with curly hair?

There is a gel at walmart... its clear, in a small clear plastic jar with a black lid. Its only 94 cents, but it works well on my hair, and doesnt leave "flakes". I typically hate gel and only use it when the flyaways get to be too much. Its also not a big investment. Sorry I dont have the name since I'm out. But the gel makes the waves and curls in my hair stand out, not go totally flat (unless I brush it that way).

It's not QP, it looks similar. But I hear QP is also pretty good.

What is the best hair gel for a person with curly hair?

Curls Rock by Catwalk (TIGI)

What is the best hair gel for a person with curly hair?

I have curly hair too and I've tried over the counter products...The only good results you are going to find is Salon products...I use Matrix Curl shampoo and Matrix Curl conditioner and then I finish with Design Line curl lock....smells really good to....But make sure you purchase these products at a salon not a grocery store....Ask your hairdresser he/she would be able to help you find the right products for your hair....it costs a bit more but it's worth it.

Make your own temp. hair die?

my friend makes it from gel and eye shawdow, but that doesn't work on my hair.

Have mobster hair?

Hello I want my hair to be perfectly combed back like mobsters in movies. What gel or styling product is best for that. Also what is that thing that they put on their head and keeps their hair combed back they put it for a night and wake up take it off or something. Thanks

Have mobster hair?

A hat...

Have mobster hair?

well it depends what kind of hair you got... but use a du rag or a stocking to keep your hair back!

Have mobster hair?

you are going to look about as good with mobster hair as all the valley girls from the 80's with all the massive amounts of hairspray and teasing. You need to see a stylist and find a hairstyle that works with the nature of your hair...not the nature of the godfather's hair...and please don't have me killed for saying this.

Have mobster hair?

i think it looks like they oil their hair...

if you oiled it then you could just comb it back in the morning, but it would be really gross.

you shoul just wash your hair everyday if you're going to use that much of any product.

Have mobster hair?

Hi GOR, if you want your hair to comb back you need to use a Super Gel that with keep it from falling forward. Then at night take a shower and wash your hair really good. Then start over the next day. Why do you want to look like a mobster? Is there a girl in the picture and you want to try and impress her? Just wandering.. LOL.

A Friend.

Clowmy

Have mobster hair?

A good cheap hair product that keeps it nice and hard is La bella. It is user friendly.

Can you put in dreadlocks with regular hair gel?

No, you can't. You need to excessively backcomb/tease sections of hair into dreads, then lock/seal them in place with dreadlock sealing spray, or wax specially softened for dreadlocks.

Hair Help...?

Ok, so I got my hair Japanese straightened a while ago and it's amazing!!!

But I think the lady who did my hair cut my hair a little above the roots (or they're new roots) but anyways, I have new hair growing straight up!!! It's everywhere!!! I have to cover it with other pieces of hair or gel it down...i'm so tired of doing that...

How can I make it grow faster so that I don't have to deal with this anymore?

Hair Help...?

There's not much you can do to make hair grow faster. It's mainly hereditary. Avoid drying it, and try building up the longer hair at the roots to hide the roots that are sticking up. Next time you go, make sure to mention it and ask how it can be avoided. Good luck!

Hair Help...?

Sorry babe but it sounds like baby hair you are just going to have to let it grow. And actually i would go show the lady that cut your hair or what ever it was she did to it and ask her for her opinion. But i think you are just going to have to deal with it and dont do it again. we learn from our mistakes. i am so sorry for you.spike

Hair Spray or Gel?

Could you girls suggest the best hair spray or gel or serum to use to get the silky straight shiny tresses while straigtening. My hair is naturally wavy.

Hair Spray or Gel?

Try Sunsilk's Straighten Up 24/7 Creme. It worked for me when using a straightening iron. You put some in your hair and then style your hair like you usually do....so you use the hairspray or gel along with it. (I use mousse %26amp; hairspray.) Also, if you have frizz, put a little on after you style, and it will take care of that too. (Sunsilk also has Straighten Up Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner, but I haven't tried those.)

Hair Spray or Gel?

moose

Hair Spray or Gel?

Gel all the way

Hair Spray or Gel?

I would suggest using John Frieda products, their absolutely amazing. They work well :)

Hair Spray or Gel?

well serum helps make your hair shiny, so i would use that. if you want to keep your hair in place then use hairspray, which i think doesn't make hair as hard as gel does. hope i helped =)

Hair Spray or Gel?

bed head hairspray or gel...it works wonders!

Hair Spray or Gel?

first of all i don't use either but for the silky straight hair i would suggest anything but auqa net!

Hair Spray or Gel?

i beautiful hair..(sorry i sounded conceited but how else would i put it!!)...%26amp;%26amp; i use like every product out there..like john freda...uhm...hair spray %26amp;%26amp; gel will make it flaky %26amp;%26amp; sticky!! %26amp;%26amp; depends what kind of strightner your using as well...chi the best one!!!

Hair Spray or Gel?

well you shouldnt use hairspray because it causes it to break off...the gel i use is aussie.it works REALLY REALLY good!!

Hair Spray or Gel?

i straighten my hair almost everyday so 4 a spray i use turn up the heat flat iron protection from Sally's an its only $6

an if ur hair gets kinda staticy after words try citre shine but only use a pea size amount!cuz it can make ur hair really oily if u put 2 much!

hope i helped! :)

Hair Spray or Gel?

garnier fructis (sleek and shine line) has a serum that makes hair shiny and easy to straighten.. i have tight curls and it works really well with my hair. its in a circular bottle and its 'pumped' out.

Hair Spray or Gel?

I don't think hairspray is the answer. Use some kind of anti-frizz serum or creme. There are so many on the market. The John Frieda line is good and not expensive. Good Luck!

Wavy hair photos?

i was wonderin how can i create nice, natural looking waves with braids? any tips. i dont like to use gel/ mousse so leave that out if possible please.

also, my hair is dark dark brown, not black... in your opinion, do you think this colour hair looks good when its wavy/ curly or just messy and not-nice? please help.

finally, if u have any pics or can find any of what hair looks like after it has been braided and is now nice and wavy, plz send the link to me!

appreciate the help, thanks!

Wavy hair photos?

I shower at night then while my hair is wet I put it in like 10 braids all over my head. I go to sleep, and when I wake up in the morning my hair is dry and I take out the braids. It looks awesome! I wear it like this all the time and I have dark brown hair so it won't look messy Good luck I hope I helped! 閳?br>

Wavy hair photos?

Get a friend to do 3 french braids, one at the back and two sides, when your hair is damp. Sleep with a lightweight towel on your head. When you get up run a tiny bit of conditioner over your hands and smooth over your hair to get rid of frizz.

How do you keep your hair healthy?

My hair is healthy but everytime when im done taking a shower it gets all poofy! And i just got a haircut so the layers keep popping out,How can I fix this by using neutrogena t-gel,pantene or head and shoulders, and a de-frizz hair mask?I cant use a straightener because that burns your hair so ya..so can you please help me!!:)btw those are the only products i have and a herbal essences pinned straight hair hairspray.Best answer gets 10 points thanks!!

How do you keep your hair healthy?

first off never ever ever use hair products that have alcohol in the first 3 ingredients because that damages the hair causing frizz and, the most awesome hair product that i have ever used is smooth down hair serum by redkin its is a little pricey but it last for about 6 months or a year depending on how much you use i promise you will not be disappointed

How do i make my hair more flat on sides? am a guy.?

i went to the salon and the stylist there said he wouldnt cut my sides that short because my hair sticks right out and doesnt grow downwards like its suppose to my hair is short like when it is half an inch i cannot gel it downwards because it still sticks out and too long well it sits down but im nto a girl to keep my hair long. my head is large as it is but with my hair sticking out liek that it makes it look larger. when i wear a hat or something for a good 2 hours well its flat but so is the hair on top. like a simple advise or product nothign liek all sticky gel because again the sides stuck to my head and the top not doesnt look good.

http://s151.photobucket.com/albums/s150/...

thats an example of what i mean i cant do a mohawk because its not flat on side a my head. sorry about the drawing best i could do

How do i make my hair more flat on sides? am a guy.?

for a situation like that i would reccommend murray's pomade over even the expensive brands like crew, shortsexyhair, bedhead, etc because it is so effective.

you can buy it at target for a buck or so

Does any1 kno of a product that works just as well as gel but w/o the crunchy effects??

My hair is neither curly nor straight, just plain poofy. Only wen i put ALOT of gel on it does it get curly, BUT it gives me the crunchy effect, meaning it gets hard and stiff and I cant run a brush thru it. Does any1 kno of a technique or of a product that will give me the same thing as gel, but w/o all the stiffness?? Ive tried mousse, hair serum, SunSilk Poofy, everything but nothing seems to really work

Does any1 kno of a product that works just as well as gel but w/o the crunchy effects??

i have fairly curly hair, and to keep it from being frizzy or 'poofy', I use two different products. First, I spray my hair throughout with a childrens detangling spray, like No More Tangles (I have found the generic versions, walmart's brand, dollar store's brand, etc work JUST AS WELL). it works as a leave-in conditioner, and tha product alone may work for you. I then use a bit of silicone based hair serum-- Citrishine, Treseme, Ganier Fructis, whatever is on sale-- look on the ingerdients for 'dimethicone' or 'cyclomethicone'. Don't use too much or your hair will appear greasy-- and make sure you get it all through your hair. My method is to put some in my palm, rub my hands together, flip my head upside down and run my hands briskly through my fair, kind of 'finger combing' it. This method leaves my hair bouncy and shiny, and completely poof-less!

Does any1 kno of a product that works just as well as gel but w/o the crunchy effects??

dude, just good ol brylcreem is the way to go....it will take a while to get used to it but it will do what you want it to do

Does any1 kno of a product that works just as well as gel but w/o the crunchy effects??

There are products called curl cream or curl enhancers that encourage the curl but don't get crunchy. They're great. Just look where hair products are sold.

Does any1 kno of a product that works just as well as gel but w/o the crunchy effects??

I'm pretty sure mousse works.

Does any1 kno of a product that works just as well as gel but w/o the crunchy effects??

Hair bangs...?

should i make a hair bang?? i have a thin face. my hair is thick. straight from above curly at ends. its medium. i dont hair dry or blow it wateva they call it. i dont put any gel, spray, or ANY of that stuff.Should i do a hair bang?? help?!

Hair bangs...?

i would ask your stylist or if you don't have one you can get a free consultation at any hair salon with questions regarding your hair. if your hair is really thick i think bangs would be hard to maintain, they might get poofy. if you aren't against it try straighting your hair with a straighting iron, it always looks good and you don't have to use any products - i wouldn't do it everyday!

Hair bangs...?

Yes, they are so cute.

Hair bangs...?

I dont see why you couldn't try bangs....bangs look great on every kind of face.....but to be sure try asking your local hairstylist! good luck!

Hair bangs...?

hair bangs look good on practically anybody

go for it

Hair bangs...?

I do not see your actual picture so I do not know how you would look. Generally speaking, people with long forehead look better with bangs.

Hair bangs...?

I think everyone looks better with some bangs - with curly hair you should try longer bangs swept over to the side.

Hair bangs...?

My hair is exactly like yours. So, my suggestion would be, if you are willing to put in an extra 10 minutes each morning and straighten them, go for it, this is what I do and they look cute. However, if you are not willing to put in the extra time don't do it, when I just let mine dry, they are much shorter and curly so they stick out everywhere and do not look good. In my opinion and extra 30 dollars and 10 minutes for a cute cut is worth it.

Hair bangs...?

Oh go ahead and take a chance, live a little.

Hair always grows back. Besides you'll have fewer strands of hair to deal with in the back.

Yes, go for it.

Hair bangs...?

Yeah thats about how my hair looks and I do have bangs but they look better on a rounder face which is what I have. But they look ok on the straight, thin faces as well. But you have to keep the bangs either straightened to the side or like pulled back into a ponytail or with a headband for it to look really good.

Good Luck with the Bangs!

Hair bangs...?

Deff should get bangs .. Side bangs are hot

Hair bangs...?

If you do not want to spend time on your hair by blow drying or adding product, I would say no to bangs. The current trends are for side-swept bangs (the straight ones are so 90's) and if you do not want to put in the effort to "train" your hair, you will end up regretting bangs. If you are looking for a make-over and can committ to additional prep time in the morning, then go for it. Go to a professional salon, get advice about how long/short you should go, and get product. Make sure they show you step by step how to use it. Goodluck!

Ok i need some hair help here!!!!ANYONE!!??plzz..?

ok well my hair is kinda wavy and straight put together. its kinda frizzy but not that much. MY PROBLEM it looks dead... (well hair is dead but hopefully u now what i mean).. i wash my hair everynight.. (yea i hear thats not good for the hair BUT.... idk i just wash it everyday.. ) plus i do straighten my hair, and the heat only makes it worse.. i do know that there are products that can help my hair look and feel more healthier.. so can anyone name me these products.. like whats a better moose? gel? conditioner? shampoo? anything really just so i can make my hair look more healthier. thanxx 4 the help..閳?br>Ok i need some hair help here!!!!ANYONE!!??plzz..?

Tresemme Heat Protectant Products work really good.

And you could wash your hair everyday, but don't shampoo it every day. Your just sucking out the moisture. But since your hair is dry, you have to wash it with conditioner everyday.

And use a leave-in conditioner everyday too. Like Infusium 23? or Garnier Fructis? They all work really good.

Also, I used to straighten my hair everyday, but it was killing my hair too. So, I still straighten it, but now I only do it if I'm going out, not just to the grocery store or whatever.. lol

So you should try that too.. =]

Ok i need some hair help here!!!!ANYONE!!??plzz..?

Get Tresemme heat protection spray for when you use straighteners.

Try washing your hair every other day so that you get the natural oils staying in your hair.

Ok i need some hair help here!!!!ANYONE!!??plzz..?

Try using a repairing shampoo and conditioner, treatments like Pantene Pro V are good too. Try start to use a defuser on your hair instead of straightening, it doesn't use as much heat. My hair is very damaged and I went from flat iron to defuser and it's recovering...I also tend to dye a lot. Try stauing away from that...it really dries out your hair.

Ok i need some hair help here!!!!ANYONE!!??plzz..?

ok its a myth that shampooing your hair daily is not good!! If using the correct shampoo conditioner the moisture will be retained in the hair cuticle.

Matrix have a range called sleek which will be fab for your hair. because its straight and slightly frizzy this range is just perfect it smooths out the hair giving a sleeker effect it has shampoo, conditioner, iron spray, moisture control, and a serum, which in turn will leave your hair looking great.

Ok i need some hair help here!!!!ANYONE!!??plzz..?

Don't straighten it, instead play up the natural waviness. Trust me, I fought the same battle for many years. Once I stopped fighting it, my hair looks way better and it's easier too. I haven't blow dried or straightened in 2 years.

Shampoo and condition your hair with products designed to be moisterizing. I actually really like the Suave knock off of Nexxus Humectress--It smells like coconut and actually works better on my hair than the Nexxus, plus it's a lot cheaper.

After your shower towel dry your hair well. Ignore it for several minutes while you get ready--get dressed, do your makeup etc. This lets it air dry a bit more.

Your hair should now be lightly damp. Mist it with this: http://www.johnfrieda.com/products/produ...

Then use CurlySexyHair Curl Enhancer. You can get it at many salons or beauty stores. I found it here online: http://www.frizzy2silky.com/shop/sexy-ha...

It's a spray mousse that you spray into your hand and then scrunch through your hair. Scrunch it throughout your hair and your done. Let your hair air dry the rest of the way, don't blow dry.

You should end up with nice soft waves that look great. You can experiment with other products, I've just found those two to work the best for me.

Help with a good hairstyle! I have straight, light hair.?

Hey, ok first off I want to say I want no insults geared towards me at all about me asking for help with my hairstyle. And mostly women would probably help but if your a guy that's fine.

I have been growing my hair out since October because I wanted to go more for the tennis look and some people said it looks better and just got a trim for the first time a few days ago. But still I just don't think it looks good. Women can you tell me if you like it better when it was short or now and if I should get a better looking hairstyle. I have a long kind of narrow face. I haven't been putting gel in it or anything...Check out my short hair pics at www.myspace.com/brettdavismartin

Here are two pictures of it now...It just seems so shaggy now and not as good looking or appealing to women which is what I am going for, lol. But I had a girl the other day tell me it looked sexier like this. I just don't see it

Help with a good hairstyle! I have straight, light hair.?

I like your hair the longer length, like you have it now. And I know what you mean because I have almost the same hair type, just a little longer! It gets oily by the end of the day from me touching it all the time, and since it is so fine, that doesn't help any. Go to the store and look for shampoo for oily/flat hair. They make it...I use it! It can be the cheapest thing they have, anything will work, honestly. Wash your hair daily, and try to avoid using any product like gel, etc. That definitely doesn't help the oily factor! If you want to go so far, use a straightener. Believe it or not, this helps to soak up some of the natural oils in your hair. I find that when I straighten my hair, it tends to get less oily throughout the day. Oh and always wash your hair in the morning! Washing it at night and then sleeping on it just makes it more oily the next day. Good luck; your hair looks very nice! :)

If you want it to last for a while (like during a special occasion) use Got2B Glued (lol) It is waterproof and sweatproof and VERY easy to wash out. The BEST way to get it out is Got2B Un-Glued.

If you really feel you need to put gel in there hair i don't think it matters what kind you use, hair gel is not that dangerous unless they eat it.

If you have to ask, than it's probably a good sign that hair products are mainly used on teenagers %26amp; adults. Don't start using gels, chemicals, mosse, whatever on a babies/toddlers; allow their hair to grow naturally.

My son has really curly frizzy hair (he's half south African) and i use a Johnson's (baby brand) spray on leave in conditioner if you put enough in and brush it while wet then leave it alone it has the same effect as gel. Its a no tears formula and I've used it since he was 6 months old. Hope I've helped!

Try aloe vera gel.

What is a good hair gel to use on a baby/ one yr. old boy? How about a three yr. old girl?

Some of these answers are kind of ridiculous. Some babies have extremely curly and/or frizzy hair. My daughter needed something in her hair to keep it from getting frizzy and tangled up... otherwise, my wife would have a terrible time brushing it without my daughter screaming and crying. You need a gel that is alcohol free. I believe L.A. Looks is alcohol free. There are a lot of good leave in conditioners for children that work well. Also, if frizzy hair is a big problem, baby lotion tames that a bit.

What is a good hair gel to use on a baby/ one yr. old boy? How about a three yr. old girl?

My daughter is 4 1/2, and i use Aussie spray gel that has a conditioner in it also. It leaves her hair bouncy, but controllable. It does not damage her hair, and it leaves her hair really soft.

Wtfeez?? I never heard of that! Hahahah... Uhm, I'd say that someone prolly said that cuz using gel all the time IS bad (well any gel, spray, mouse, blowdrying, blah blah blah is bad) and when hair goes bad, it falls out.

Is gel with pro-vitamin b5 good?

Also, how often should you use gel if you don't want those chemicals to mess up your hair?

Is gel with pro-vitamin b5 good?

Remember that gel is ALWAYS made with alcohol, alcohol dries your hair out. Also, your body cannot absorb vitamins unless you ingest them, like a multiple vitamin pill. P.S. Do not drink the gel.

What are some good hair styling products/tips?

My hair is chin-length, brown, and very thick. Whenever I try to use a styling product, such as gel, it never works right. If I use a curler and curl my hair, the curls end up limping out in a few short hours. If I straighten my hair, it goes back to it's wild and wavy style by the end of the day.

I want my hair to be able to be 'played with'. I want to try different gels and styles and actually have them work. Does anyone have tips on good products for my kind of hair, or tips on how I can style it better?

Hair advise PLEASE I need help.?

My hair is really curly. I used to have my hair really long almost to my butt. But I don't know what happend all of the sudden it shrunk and it's up to my sholders now. I don't know what happend. Maybe it was the gel that I use I don't know. I want my hair long again. What can I do Please help :(.

Hair advise PLEASE I need help.?

I would go to get it trimmed reguarly. Your hair grows faster if you cut the ends. Also, make sure to take care of your hair, too much straightening, blow drying, or curling your hair can damage the ends, so be aware of that. You can also try shampoos that specialize in hair growth.

how does that happen? I have never heard of hair shrinking from waist level to shoulder level.

Avoiding the use of products with SD-40 alcohol is a good start. If you want to repair your hair, you need to get educated on what ingredients nourish your hair and which ones cause damage and them buy your products accordingly. Use a good brush and don't use tight hair ties.

Hair advise PLEASE I need help.?

see if you have changed any of your hair products, some are actually designed to help curl your hair! Check with your beautician, they know your hair from working on it in the past and they know how others react to changes in life - they are a wonderful source.

Can you lose hair from using gel?

stop using gel.

Can you lose hair from using gel?

I've been using Fiber by American Crew for the past few years and I lost a lot of hair. So much so that I shaved my head and stopped using it for a while. My hair is now growing back and filling in after a couple of months break time for my scalp.

Give your hair a day or so between washes and make sure you rinse the gel out of your hair daily. I believe you will be fine with doing that and it worked for me when I did.

Can you lose hair from using gel?

yes you will lose hair

Can you lose hair from using gel?

Hair gel can't cause you to lose your hair and as for if your ever going to lose your hair it all depends on if balding runs in your family. Balding is hereditary. However, my dad is bald and I have 2 brothers and one is going bald and my other brother has so much hair on his head that it looks like he could spare some for my balding brother.

How to get STRAIGHT LAYERS (for girls - scene? hair) ??? (WITH PICTURES)?

ok so, i have long hair, with layers --like layers layers, as in they go as short as the top of my ears to super long.

problem is, after drying my hair, it just kind of flattens and my hair barely looks liek i have layers. (imagine a really flat, long heart shape)

so what i'm looking for is sort of poofy -- as in poofy heart shape, but also, the layers kinda stick out and are obvious

i'd consider it "scene-ish" hair, but correct me if i'm wrong.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/o...

theres a picture of what i basically want, except my hair is longer than hers.. what kind of products could i use to style my hair?

i've been told that garnier fructis shake effect liqui-gel could work..but i've looked in many stores and cant find anything close to it.. i live in canada btw, so if you have any suggestions you might wnat to keep this in mind..

THANKS ALOT :)

How to get STRAIGHT LAYERS (for girls - scene? hair) ??? (WITH PICTURES)?

Scene hair isn't really about the cut of the hair, it's about the way it's styled and coloured.

Scene hair originates from Manga styles (japanese cartoons) and is a more punk version of the "emo style" and usually still attributes as a long sweeping side fringe (though not always required.)

Scene hair can be about being yourselves, the aim is to just do what you think looks goodon you!

I found a website for you full of examples:

http://photobucket.com/images/scene%20ha...

When it comes to dye, just think about the colours that suit you best and that you wouldn't mind having in your hair, pink, red, black and blonde streaks and the mose popular colours.

Style:

1. Wash and condition

2. towel dry

3. Use styling mouse or gel to brush backwards

4. Style around your face, have spiky bits at the back if you want.

Finish off with a cute DIY accessory, bow or necklace, such as something from LoveBites and Bruises: http://www.lovebitesandbruises.com

This will show a flair of originality that scenesters try to go for to make them stand out and be original.

Best of luck with it! :)

How to get STRAIGHT LAYERS (for girls - scene? hair) ??? (WITH PICTURES)?

use volumizing gel or cream and blow dry with fingers not a brush so its thicker also put your head upside down when drying it to give it a lift at the roots then finish off with a shine serum or hairspray

How to get STRAIGHT LAYERS (for girls - scene? hair) ??? (WITH PICTURES)?

Just try blow drying you hair upside down, and using some type of volumizing mouse.

Mouse would probably be better than gel because it's lighter.

How to get STRAIGHT LAYERS (for girls - scene? hair) ??? (WITH PICTURES)?

heyy

try drying ur hair while ur head is up side down. onli use ur fingers.. and ruffle up the hair as u dri it. and dont brush it afta u hav done that. jst leave it for bout 5 mins to let it setlle then use a fork comb and gentle get rid of any knots

c how u go and let me kno

How to get STRAIGHT LAYERS (for girls - scene? hair) ??? (WITH PICTURES)?

Styling wax will do. The pantene pro-v one can be purchased at any pharmacy and it should be around $5.

I recently got a haircut and it looks similar to the one in the picture but it's a bit shorter and my stylist put the wax on my hair with her fingertips. I hope it will work out for your hair. ;)

How to get STRAIGHT LAYERS (for girls - scene? hair) ??? (WITH PICTURES)?

HI

I would suggest after every wash- dry your hair and do out curls on them.

WIll look fantastic and ur layers will be visible as well

How to get STRAIGHT LAYERS (for girls - scene? hair) ??? (WITH PICTURES)?

Blow dry hair while still wet, while fluffing with your fingers to give it bounce. Then straighten it to get it completely straight like hers is. Then apply a styling wax/pomade that will define your layers. Coat it on random pieces.

Finish the look off by spraying with hairspray to hold the style. Good luck!

How to get STRAIGHT LAYERS (for girls - scene? hair) ??? (WITH PICTURES)?

if you are not getting this look ... and by the sounds of it from your post I would guess the reason you aren't gettig the look is because of the weight....if you want to copy this cut your hair needs to be as short and have as many layers.....that is the way the look happens.

When people come in to have hair copied or duplicated... it doesn't always work because they won't go as short or they don't have the same 'texture" of hair...

the photo has a girl with super thin hair.....as well as she has it bleached blonde which also gives it the lightness and lift that it has.....its not really a "product"......

i think a lot of people get that part mixed up....

if you want email me a photo of yours and I will advise more specifically....

but my first suggestion is to get it cut a lot more....and if you have thick and heavy hair it just would be too heavy.... its the one and only way you will get that look....

Hi. help needed about aloevera and hair growth?

hi , i heard that aloe vera will promote hair growth and on many sites i saw apply aloe vera gel

gel means do they mean the commercial products or the substance that lies within the plant

and also can i apply the aloevera substance(gel from the plant directly) from the plant directly into my scalp

that ia can i grind aloevera plant and apply directly into my scalp

Hi. help needed about aloevera and hair growth?

Fact: There is no sure-fire way to prevent all hair loss.

However, some methods that have been used work on some people. Here are some suggestions for natural remedies to hair loss.

Massage

Massaging the scalp in general for a couple of minutes a day can stimulate blood flow to the hair follicles and in mild cases stimulate some hair growth in minor cases of temporary hair loss.

There are several electric massagers on the market that have an attachment for scalp massaging as well. An oriental method called Qi Gong (pronounced Chi Kung) has been used to increase circulation to the scalp and face also.

Aromatherapy

A blend of six drops each of lavender and bay essential oils in a base of four ounces of either almond, soybean or sesame oil massaged into the scalp and allowed to sit for 20 minutes has been used by aroma therapists to stimulate the scalp.

Saw Palmetto Extract

There is a definite connection between the prostate and hair loss for men. Saw Palmetto has been found to work in fighting benign prostatic disease by lowering levels of DHT, which is a known cause of androgenetic alopecia.

Saw Palmetto extract is an effective anti-androgen and shows promise as an effective treatment for hair loss prevention. More information on Saw Palmetto for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

Women on oral contraceptives or hormone therapy should not take Saw Palmetto.

Nettle Root Extract

Nettles are rich in vitamins A and C, several key minerals and lipids that can be beneficial to the hair. Nettle Root Extract has been used successfully in Europe as an inhibitor of 5-alpha reductase in treating BPH.

Rosemary and Sage

Rosemary and sage are two herbs that have shown benefit traditionally when used externally. Boil together in water rosemary, sage, peach leaf, nettle and burdock. Then strain the loose herbs from the liquid and use the liquid to wash the hair daily.

Jojoba Oil

If you are predisposed to seborrhea, eczema, psoriasis, or dandruff, you could consider using jojoba oil. Mexicans and southwestern Native American nations have used jojoba oil traditionally for centuries to promote hair growth and the control of dandruff. Jojoba oil is great for hypoallergenic skin because it is a great moisturizer and mimics the scalp's own sebum.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera has been used by Native Americans, Indians and many in the Caribbean to promote healthy hair and prevent hair loss. Aloe's can help the scalp by healing it and balancing the pH level of the scalp while cleansing the pores. A common preparation of Aloe Vera gel with a small amount of wheat germ oil and coconut milk is used as a shampoo and has traditionally shown great benefit.

Henna

Henna is a traditional Indian herb that acts as a natural conditioner and is excellent for the maintenance of healthy hair. It can help heal the hair shaft by repairing and sealing the cuticle, protecting hair against breakage and loss of shine.

Polysorbate-80

Polysorbate-80 is an FDA approved surfactant that is also approved as a food additive. Although not proven, Polysorbate-80 is said to remove deposits of DHT and cholesterol from the scalp. Polysorbate-80 is being recommended by some naturopathic practitioners as an application for the scalp approximately 15 minutes prior to shampooing.

Cleansing and Detoxification

Cleansing should be a major part of your regimen to maintain and grow hair. Many scalp related diseases are directly the result of toxemia, while toxins in the body adversely affecting the body's systems indirectly affect other conditions. Cleansing can be performed through oral means regularly and occasionally by enema or colonic irrigation.

More remedies for detoxification

Psyllium husk

Fiber is vital to cleansing, and most North American diets are deficient in natural fiber. Psyllium husk is a bulking laxative agent that can be used to safely move waste through the colon. Psyllium is a very good substance as it gently scrubs the walls of the colon to remove waste that is stuck to the walls.

Exercise

Finally, although exercise does absolutely nothing directly to grow hair, most holistic practitioners recommend it. Exercising can improve blood flow, the delivery of oxygen to the cells of the body, and help the digestion of foods, all things that aid the health of hair follicles.
